Shirin Hajeb

PhD


Shirin Hajeb was born in Tabriz, Iran in 1984. She received the B.S. degree in biomedical engineering from the Sahand Industrial University, Tabriz, Iran; the M.S. degree in biomedical engineering from the Isfahan University of Medical Science and the PhD degree in biomedical engineering from Shahid Beheshti University of medical science, Tehran, Iran. During the third year of her PhD, after defensing of her thesis’s title, she got chance to spent part of her research period at biomedical engineering department of University of Connecticut, CT, USA, as a research specialist.

She is currently working at the Department of Electrical Engineering of University of Connecticut (Storrs CT, USA). Her current research interests include biomedical signal processing specially electrocardiographic and respiratory signals and also incorporating wearable sensors and devices for monitoring of cardiac arrhythmias and respiratory problems.
